Join us on November 19th, for our special online River Ganga Celebration. November 19th is Dev Divali, the full moon after Divali, when millions of Indians make a pilgrimage to the Ganga River. We will livestream from the banks of the Ganga River, at the Parmarth Ashram in Rishi Kesh India, with a worship service called Aarti. The program begins at 5:30pm Rishi Kesh time, or 7am EST/4am PST, on November 19. Many of the artists from the song will participate, along with beloved Miten (of Deva and Miten) and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Swami Chidanand Saraswati of the Parmarth Ashram.

100% of the profits from the song River Ganga will go to the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA), an interfaith environmental group working to serve the Ganga and her people. The song "River Ganga" was written by Snatam Kaur, Todd Boston and Ramesh Kannan. It is an anthem, a call to clean up the river as she suffers from incredible pollution and unsustainable practices. The River Ganga Celebration is free to all attend, however you have the option to make a donation to the Wash Alliance when you register. His mother, an accomplished carnatic vocalist, introduced him to tabla drums at the age of 8. His lifelong musical journey has lead him to learn a wide array of percussive instruments including drum set, djembe, dumbek, udu, and cajon. As a world-percussionist, Ramesh has had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous internationally renown artists including Snatam Kaur, Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Bhagavan Das,Deva Premal, Mitten, Manose, Will Ackerman, Tony Levin, GuruGanesha Singh, Rick Allen, Gregory Alan Isakov, and many more.
